    My mom, sister, and I stayed in Kaanapali the last time we went to Maui. We mostly stayed in the resort or went to Lahaina. I would’ve loved to explore more of what Kaanapali has to offer; we did have a nice swim in the beach though!

      Kaanapali is more resort focused than Lahaina but there’s so many cool things to do and see in both places

    Maui is somewhere I only know of from films and TV series! Kaanapali looks like a great spot to visit to enjoy the island, and I’d definitely be up for a rental car and self-driving. And I would love to attend a traditional luau and learn about local culture.

    Great post! I usually stay on the south side when I’m in Maui. I loved doing snorkel/sunset cruises from Kaanapali Beach when I lived in Maui so it’s on my list for next trip followed by happy hour at Leilani’s!

    My family stayed in Kaanapali when we visited Maui. Although it was fairly removed from the rest of the island, I loved how relaxed it was and the lushness of the area. We also loved snorkeling and seeing honu right from the beach. It is such an ideal part of Maui.

      Kaanapali is exactly that for a lot of visitors that just want to rest, relax and slow down and just enjoy the beaches and nature in perfect weather.
