There are a few main farmers markets to shop in town including the Kona Farmers Market, Keauhou Farmers Market, Alii Green and Ho’oulu community market at the Sheraton Resort in Keauhou. Visit these Kona Farmers Markets for a taste of fantastic produce, take away foods and souvenirs

Located in the heart of Kona town facing Kailua Bay, you’ll find everything at this almost daily market from fresh produce, arts/crafts and souvenir stands, snacks and take out foods. There’s lots of fruit stands selling fresh pineapples in season, Mangoes, avocados and a variety of other tropical fruits in season.

It’s the perfect spot for easy parking and picking up some picnic foods, fresh fruits and veggies or even a souvenir to take home. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 7am t0 4pm. Parking is free in the parking area next to the farmer’s market.

Keauhou Shopping Center

One of the biggest markets in the Kona area with a large array of vendors from the region. You’ll find a variety of fresh tropical fruits and veggies, tropical flowers, Home-made breads and pastries, delicious Hawaiian snacks and prepared meals, home care, jewelry and home care products, arts and crafts and a variety of other specialty goods and products to buy.

I found this to be one of the best farmers markets with actual growers and providers of good food made on the islands. Held at the parking lot of the Keauhou Shopping Center from Saturdays from 8am to 12 noon

Ho’oulu community market at the Sheraton Resort in Keauhou

This community supported market is held every Wednesday from 9am to 2pm on the front lawn of the Sheraton Keauhou. You’ll find a small market with fantastic local artists, crafters and jewelry, local produce and specialty made foods, take outs and delicious breads, Hawaiian desserts and pastries and other local dishes and snacks to enjoy at this market
